As I read this article, I think back on the evolution of K-DEER as an experience that profoundly helped me discover myself. It’s not the easy stuff in life that helps mold you into who you are. It’s the texture, the adversity and the moments that break your heart wide open. True self discovery and love comes when we give ourselves permission to accept and honor our truth.
