If gratitude was a color, it would be rainbow. Yes, I know that’s not a single color, but to me gratitude is a multi-verse of feelings and since my announcement in April, I have been feeling the full spectrum and all those feelings consistently lead me back to gratitude.
I am so deeply grateful for having been able to share this chapter of my life with you and a huge part of the journey for me has been our connection to community and giving back to our causes and non-profits who are doing the work to heal and support our neighbors.
Through a pandemic and all the supply chain issues that brought me to this decision, our give back has been alive and well. In 2022, in just 7 months of sales, we were able to raise $16,419 and donate these funds across 12 non-profit organizations.
Our newest member of the Stripe Squad, Mabel Stripe, was a ‘choose your own adventure’ Stripe that allowed buyers to pick the cause they wanted to support. In our tally, we had a landslide win for Women’s Rights and Health and our Mabel donation will be given to the Center for Reproductive Rights, “a global human rights organization of lawers and advocates who ensure reproductive rights are protected in law as fundamental human rights for the dignity, equality, health, and well-being of every person.”
In total, K-DEER has been able to donate $240,790 to dozens of different organizations since 2014. I am so proud of us, for showing up, standing out and standing up for the needs and rights of our loved ones and communities at large. We are change makers and I hope you continue to find ways to heal, grow and give back with your energy, resources or time.
I'm calling this a closed chapter, a farewell for now, as I call in something new, aligned with my values and even deeper potential impact on the greater good of our world. I bought a pair of your leggings perhaps around when you started up. I got so many compliments!!! I then had 2 children and am starting to train again. I pulled them out last week, they fit! And I got so many compliments! Today I came on to order some more colours and your gone! 😭 super sad but I wish you all the best and sincerely hope there’s a chance you’ll get back in the game someday 😊
I so wish I could have purchased more pairs of your leggings. I actually met one of my closest and dearest friends due to a conversation started over a pair I was wearing that day. The moment I locked eyes in a pair, I had to have them! I, without fail, got comments EVERY time I wore them (Like people going out of their way to run over and say how awesome and where can they get them ). Thank you Kristine! I remember when we first met, it was at a yoga studio in westwood. You were so kind and supportive and i remember you selling your merchandise-those yoga shorts were to die for. I remember doing a photo shoot for you and how you had all sorts of sizes and shapes and humans to represent what you envisioned and who you envisioned wearing your product. you were always inclusive and so so kind to everyone. I purchased for the cause. But what I have are my fave leggings that have outlasted scores of others. Fantastic product.
